Single monument

A single monument defines itself almost like a monument. It protects and restricts the modification of the immediate surroundings of a monument, in cases where it might affect the appearance of the monument itself.

Single heating

Single heating is used to heat only the room in which they are located. They are almost all connected to the chimney and heated with wood, coal, electricity, heating oil or gas. They include fireplaces, tiled stoves, electric heaters, iron stoves, oil stoves, endurance stoves and gas heaters.

Site development

The site development is a prerequisite to obtain a building permit. It includes tasks and services of the city/municipality for road and canal construction as well as water and electricity supply, etc.

Shed

A shed (German 'Remise', from the Latin send back, put down) is a building that was usually built on the rear boundary of the property, e.g. for vehicles.

SCHUFA

The SCHUFA contains information for assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers. In compliance with the data protection guidelines, it collects information from affiliated institutions and passes this on to banks on request.

Side wing

A side wing is either the outbuilding or the side part of a building.

Special allocation

A special allocation is a one-time money contribution by each member of the condominium owners' association, for example to cover unexpected repair or costs. It is decided in an owner‘s meeting.

Soutterain

The word souterrain derives from French and means lower ground floor or a basement.

This is the construction of new apartments within the framework of state-subsidized programs. This means that the state increases the supply of affordable housing through subsidies.
